Nollywood actors Segun Arinze and Justus Esiri according to reports were robbed at their hotel, in Surrey, United Kingdom days ago.
According to the information Nigeriafilms.com gathered, the ugly incident allegedly happened at Teavelodge in Surrey, UK.
Sources say the hotel had three keys shared among the clientele, the hotel manager and a female Polish cleaner who cleans the apartment.
The actors have been in London for a month now on a theatre tour staging several plays including The king must dance naked.
On that fateful day, the actors reportedly went for their usual rehearsal and on their return; they noticed that their belongings had been tampered with. After doing a check, they discovered that some of their valuables were missing.
Segun, according to reports, lost his Ipad while Justus Esiri lost his international passport which had various visas in it, his travelling documents, laptop, monies and several other valuables.
Although the matter has been reported to the police, no arrest has been made yet especially when the hotel had no CCTV cameras to capture the alleged robbery footage.
The Nigeria mission in the UK has issued a new passport to Justus Esiri on self-recognition and the fact that he was awarded a National Honours of Order of the Niger (OON) award.
Segun, Justus and the rest of the cast on the tour including Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva and Bimbo Akintola are expected back in Nigeria on Monday, August 6, 2012.
