The position of Ghana’s Black Stars in the latest FIFA World Rankings remains unchanged both globally and in Africa.
The Black Stars maintain their 60th place globally and 11th in Africa - these are the same positions the four-time African champions held in the July rankings.
The September rankings were released on Thursday, September 21, 2023, by the world football governing body.
Ghana played two matches during the September international break: the final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier and an international friendly match.
Chris Hughton’s men came from a goal down to beat the Central African Republic 2-1 in the last AFCON qualifier in Kumasi to confirm their place in next year’s tournament.
Four days later, the Black Stars defeated Liberia 3-1 in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
