Reggae Dancehall Musician, Shatta Wale has realised his dream of providing employment to the youth with the launch of 'Shaxi', a ridesharing service.
The multiple award-winning musician was on Wednesday joined by fellow celebrities in Accra for the launch of project 'Shaxi', a portmanteau of ‘Shatta’ and ‘taxi’.
According to the musician, the vision behind 'Shaxi' is to create a sustainable business with a focus on providing employment for the teeming unemployed Ghanaians.
Shatta Wale in an appreciation video was elated with the launch of the platform. He thanked Ghanaians for their unwavering support as well as team members that helped to bring the project to fruition.
“Everybody knows the love I have for the youth of Ghana and how I want to see them doing well. I want to see the boys on the streets move from being unemployed and get gainful employment.
“I have always wanted to use the blessing God has given me to make an impact in the society and that is how 'Shaxi' dream was born. At the end of the day, we want to make an impact and leave our mark.
“Shaxi is not just Shatta Wale and friends but a Ghanaian project for Ghanaians, so let's all embrace it as our own to make Ghana better for us," he said.
