Social media has in the last few hours been a-buzz with varied comments following the news about President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia taking the Covid-19 vaccine jab.
Akufo-Addo and his wife, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo at about 9:00 am this morning took their Covid-19 vaccine injection at the 37 Military Hospital, while Mr Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia took theirs at the Police Hospital at 10:00 am and was broadcast live on television.
This step by the President and his Vice is considered as a sign of leadership by example and is expected to boost public confidence in the new vaccines procured for Ghanaians.

Below are some of the comments:
So some people actually believe Akufo-Addo ll deliberately allow 'dangerous' vaccines to be used on his own pple? So that what?...He rules over the trees and animals after we're all dead?😂

Contrary to popular opinion that Africans are the Covid-19 test subjects, 214.5 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered across the world, less than 50 thousand in Africa.#TheVaccineIsSafe#IWillTakeTheVaccine pic.twitter.com/jFqQ36kD8j

Vaccines protect you from the deadly coronavirus. Take the vaccine and encourage your friends and families to do the same. The vaccines do work, kindly ignore the propaganda attached to them. #IWillTakeTheVaccine#TheVaccineIsSafe pic.twitter.com/CM16vE3RJf

Vaccines have never been cures, they are to prevent and equip the immune system against that pathogen.
