Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus has started auditions for her foundation, Stella Damascus Art Foundation (SDA Foundation) to support talented youngsters in Lagos, Nigeria. The SDA Foundation with a motto “…where creativity and innovation meets opportunity” seeks to fund, encourage, build and support Art development, quality of life of artistes, promote economic growth and development through art tools. The foundation will offer 24 talented actors, artistes and singers a lifetime opportunity to learn, improve their skills and also boost their chances to excel in their chosen fields through a 3-month course which will lead to the awarding of certificates. The course will be spearheaded by industry professionals. The SDA Foundation is entirely a non-profit organization which sources its funds from donations from charitable and socially responsive individuals and corporate bodies across the length and breath of the world. Although Stella Damasus, herself was not present at the maiden auditions, judges Matilda Duncan, Ben Ogbeiwi, Sandra Chime-Age, Bukola Sanni, and L37 vigorously auditioned and selected the very best from the large number of applicants who turned up for the auditions. Successful candidates who qualify from the auditions and subsequently complete the course will be put to task on National television to show their skills.
