Her Ladyship the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo has issued a Practice Direction regarding bail and consequential matters.
The directive which took effect November 1, 2019, states among other things that “Surety cannot be committed to prison upon failure to comply with the terms of a bail condition.”
