A nurse working at the Tamale Teaching Hospital's Emergency Burns Unit, Zeinab Muhammad Ali, who poured boiling water on her husband, has been sentenced to six years imprisonment with hard labor.
According to reports, the mother of two committed the crime during a misunderstanding that erupted between her and her husband.
This was after the victim refused to let her use his car.
Zeinab Muhammad Ali was apprehended and brought before the Tamale High Court, presided over by Justice Eric Ansah Ankomah.
She was subsequently charged with the offense of causing harm.
Meanwhile, the victim is presently receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) and is under observation.
