Melcom group of companies has announced Nana Kwaku Okyere Dua also known as Tic –Tac as the first Ghanaian artiste to be the "Face of Melcom" in Ghana.
Tic- Tac has risen to the fore front of the African music industry and his impressive accomplishments have led him to become one of Africa`s most popular artiste.
He last caught the attention of fans as his 10th anniversary album signing and press launch at the Silver Bird store in Accra, the Melcom head office at Kaneshie and at Melcom Tema branch.
Citing the reasons why Tic-Tac was chosen as the official icon for Melcom, Bessem Bikhazi Tic-Tacs manager commented. “As the youngest artiste of the decade, Tic Tac has inspired millions in the nation by proving that Ghanaian artistes are capable of achieving their dreams.
He is a national icon who is revered not only for his music skills but for his behavior and image on the stage".
In an exclusive interview, Tic-Tac said “I am honoured to be chosen by Melcom as the “Face of Melcom”.
Tic Tac will be fully incorporated into Melcom's branding programs in Ghana. Through marketing initiatives including print, broadcast advertising, consumer promotions, point of sales materials, public relations in support of Melcoms premium brands and products, Tic tac will be involved in the company's campaign in all the ten regions.
“In Ghana, Artistes, DJs and Sound Engineers take pride in their musical equipments and I believe that Melcom shops have the ability to help them all achieve their goals with their state of the art new equipment in stock. That is why I am so happy to be part of this campaign” Tic tac said.
