A 26-year-old trader has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on a charge of offensive conduct over an alleged TikTok video.
Aminat Mahama, also known as “Bawumia Ba”, did not enter a plea because her counsel was absent.
She was granted bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with two sureties. The case was adjourned to August 3, 2026.
The prosecution told the court that the Police intercepted a TikTok video published on an account bearing the name “Bawumia Ba”, in which the accused allegedly made abusive remarks.
According to the prosecution, Mahama stated: “To the dogs and goats NDC members, your mother and father pussy. When they are fooling and we talk then you want to threaten us with arrest.
“We are about to do worse than what we have already done. Someone should come to my comment section again. I will insult your mother father with their decayed tooth.”
The prosecution said the comments were likely to occasion a breach of the peace.
It said Mahama was subsequently tracked and arrested for investigations.
