Two professionally trained teachers have set their sights on making a mark outside the classroom by taking the Ghanaian hiplife music scene by storm.
The duo, who rap under the name Akyerekyerefo which literally means Teachers, is made up of Okyerekyereni Makorni (Richard Nartey) and Okyerekyereni Sparkles (Ranford Saltson).
They are signed under Bakus Entertainment, a newly outdoored label based in USA with its subsidiary in Ghana.
The teachers already have a single I no dey mind which features Quata and according to the country rep for Bakus Entertainment, Yaw Agbey-Lawson, the group has enough musical experience to stay in the hip life business.
He said his outfit had brought a lot of marketing and promotional activities that will put the artiste on the world map and that their new single will be used as the first step for Ghana to know what they had in stock as a business.
Yaw Lawson noted that, his CEO, Ernest Annoh–Dompreh who runs Bakus Group of Companies which is based in the USA has plans of making both the company and its artistes very established in the country.
Akyerekyerefo in a statement said they are pleased to be signed onto the record label, promising to give Ghanaians great hip life tunes.
