The Special Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two employees of a company based in North Kaneshie, Accra, for allegedly plotting to rob their employer during a scheduled cash transfer.
The suspects, identified as Joseph Danso, also known as Nana Yaw, and Fauzan Alhassan, were apprehended on Tuesday, 1st July 2025, while trailing a dispatch rider who was transporting company funds to a bank at Abossey Okai.
According to a post on Facebook by the Ghana Police Service, intelligence gathered revealed that the suspects, along with two other accomplices identified as Frankie and Asante, had conspired to intercept the cash during the transfer.
Acting on the tip-off, officers from the Special Support Unit mounted surveillance, which led to the arrest of Danso and Alhassan in the act.

During interrogation, the two admitted their involvement in the plot and named their accomplices, prompting a continued search for the remaining suspects.
Both individuals are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that efforts are underway to bring all those involved to justice.
