United Bank for Africa (Ghana) Limited has appointed Mrs. Abiola Bawuah as the bank’s new Deputy Managing Director.
Mrs. Abiola Bawuah joins the bank with enormous wealth of experience in Wholesale and Retail Banking as well as Credit Management.
Just before her appointment with UBA, Mrs. Bawuah was an Executive Director at Zenith Bank, in charge of Retail, Energy, Construction and Public Sector.
Prior to that, she held the position of General Manager.
Before joining Zenith Bank she worked at Standard Chartered Bank as Head of Sales, SME Unit, Cal Bank as a Senior Relationship Manager and at Strategic African Securities as a Financial Analyst and Investment Officer.
Mrs. Bawuah holds a BSc in Actuarial Science, an EMBA from the University of Ghana and an LLB from University of London. She has participated in various leadership programmes at the prestigious Harvard and INSEAD Business Schools.
