She hinted that the entrepreneurial centre which came as a result of the Teaching And Learning Innovation Fund (TALIF) which has now opened its doors to the public who wish to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills adding that "training will be tailored according to their organisational needs". A former lecturer of the polytechnic and now Upper West Regional Director of Micro-Finance and Small Loans Centre, Mr. Samshudeen Saaka rounding up the overall objectives of the workshop said some of the participants were expected to come out with good entrepreneurial ideas that will lead them to self-employment and not dependend on the government. "They should develop the mentality of creating and owning their own businesses; we don’t want a situation where our students will complete and be looking to government for full time employment. There are some who can do it on their own." The rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Godwin Kweku Sananu Aflakpui had early on advised the students to take the training seriously.
