Dreams Ladies midfielder Sarah Nyarko has been called up to the Black Queens squad for their upcoming games.
The versatile player becomes a late addition to Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s side for the 2026 Women’s Africa cup of Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Egypt.
Sarah, who last played for the Black Princesses in the U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier, has now been invited to join the squad for the two legged game.
Sarah replaces Helen Alormenu who was initially named in the squad but would be unable to make the trip for the games.
Before returning to the national team fold with Ghana’s U-20, Sarah was with Police Ladies in Yamoussoukro for the WAFU B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
She was one of Police’s top performers in the competition as she scored once and set up two others en route to the Ghana Women’s Premier League side reaching the last four of the competition.
Her inclusion in the squad also gives Bjorkegren a lot to think about as she can also play out on any of the wings.
This will be Sarah’s first time with the senior women’s national team and will be hoping to play a part in Ghana securing qualification to next year’s WAFCON tournament.
Ghana will travel to Suez for the first leg on October 23 before return to Accra to host Egypt in the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 28.
