In an interview prior to her performance, Wendy Shay revealed that her new single ‘Survivor’ was inspired by the death of Nigerian Gospel singer Osinachi.
According to her, when she heard the phenomenal singer had passed due to allegedly being abused by her husband, music was the only way she could express her anger.
Wendy Shay said that she understands that a broken heart is universal and could affect everyone.
