Asante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito has apologized to the club’s supporters for Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Hohoe United in the Ghana Premier League.
Sunday’s loss means Kotoko have now failed to win in four consecutive matches.
Speaking after the match, Zito said ‘‘I know my supporters will be disappointed, but I stand on behalf of my team to apologize to them.’’
Kotoko has now slipped into 5th place with 21 points, 5 behind league leaders Medeama S.C.
Despite the slump, Zito still urged the supporters to keep believing in the team until the title race is concluded.
‘‘They should still have faith in us. It is not yet over.’’
Asante Kotoko have not won the league title since Prosper Narteh Ogum led them to the trophy in 2022.
