Gospel artiste Nicolas Omane Acheampong has questioned the NDC flagbearer on his decision to contest in the upcoming elections.
He said former President John Dramani Mahama failed to live up to expectations when he was given the nod in 2012 to serve as President and therefore, does not deserve another chance.
"What can Mahama do in his new government that he couldn't do when he was Ghana's president?
"In his time, if I remember, there was no light for four good years, no answer was given," he said.
This comes after the Tabitha-Kum hitmaker, released a song urging Ghanaians to give President Akufo-Addo another term in office to serve Ghanaians.
Explaining the inspiration behind the song, he said most of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) government's policies have improved the lives of many Ghanaians.
In the song, he talks about how the free Senior High School (SHS) policy has benefited both the rich and the poor.
"The dangerous part of SHS is that, if you are unable to cross that line, you cannot be recruited in the Police service, military in fact you cannot go anywhere. Life becomes miserable," he said.
He further urged his colleague celebrities to play an active role in politics.
According to him, politics is a tool for national development and celebrities equally have a role to play in the development of the country.
He said most celebrities are afraid of showing their political colours and this is not helping in the development of the country.
He, therefore, has urged them to champion the good policies of governments and openly resist the wrongs.
