As part of efforts towards combatting and containing the COVID-19 pandemic, ZEN Petroleum Limited, a leading, Ghanaian owned Oil Marketing Company (OMC) has made donations to the Tarkwa Municipal Hospital.
This was done in a bid to shore up reserves of crucial personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential supplies.

The donations from ZEN consisted of 55 gallons of disinfectants, 20 gallons and 200 bottles of sanitisers, of 200ml sanitisers, 400 boxes of hand gloves, 200 pieces of disposable gowns, 70 boxes of three-ply face masks, five infrared thermometers as well as theatre boots, valued at ¢50,000.
Speaking to the media, ZEN Operations Manager, Stanley Tweneboah said, “As professional, dedicated and responsible corporate citizens, we take our responsibility towards delivering value for our people and communities seriously. It is therefore very
important for us, as members of the community, to do our bit towards ensuring that Tarkwa is well prepared, as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to take a toll globally.”
“Healthcare workers are at the frontlines of combating this deadly virus and our donation today reflects ZEN’s commitment towards ensuring their protection and wellbeing at this time,” he added.
This donation forms part of ZEN’s response to the Coronavirus crisis, which has included a major reduction in pump prices in a bid to mitigate the far-reaching effects of the ongoing pandemic and ease the economic pressure on Ghanaians as a result. ZEN’s current ex-pump prices for diesel and petrol stands at GH¢3.85, with a commitment to continued revisions, as necessary.
