On March 6, 2007 Ghana marked 50 years of independence from colonial rule with a colourful parade of security services and school children at the Independence Square in Accra. It was attended by a large crowd, among them a good number of Heads of State and Governments as well as other dignitaries. Here President Kufuor acknowleges cheers from the crowd.
