A vehicular crash at Eduadjei on the Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway has left 11 people injured.
According to the Central Regional Fire Service, the accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when an Opel Astra (WR 4860-13) traveling from Cape Coast towards Komenda collided head-on with a Nissan mini bus (CR 1414-23) heading from Takoradi to Cape Coast.
Ten passengers on the Nissan mini bus eight males and two females were rescued by passersby and conveyed to the Elmina Polyclinic for treatment.
Fire personnel at the scene worked carefully to extricate the driver of the Opel Astra, who was trapped following the collision. He was also transported to the Elmina Polyclinic by the National Ambulance Service.
Rescue teams cleared debris from the road to restore traffic flow and ensure safety at the accident site.
Officials said the cause of the accident has not yet been determined and is subject to ongoing investigations.
