The Ghana Health Service has confirmed that 556 students have tested positive for Covid-19 as of Friday, February 19, 2021.
Also, 139 schools in the country have recorded a case of the novel coronavirus since government reopened educational institutions in January.
A regional breakdown of the cases shows Eastern Region with the highest with 178, Greater Accra 127, Volta 55, Ashanti 43, Bono 40, Western 28, Upper West 28.
The others are; Western North 18, Upper East 14, Ahafo 13, Bono East 4, Northern 4, Central 3, Oti 1.

Fortunately, schools in the Savannah and North East regions have not recorded any cases.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s active cases stands at 6,404 with 74,681 recoveries and 588 deaths.
