Ghana's Black Meteors departed Accra on Monday afternoon, headed for Cairo, Egypt, to begin preparations for the 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The delegation included players, technical staff, and officials of the Ghana Football Association that are leading the team.
The Ghana U23 male national team is set to begin a two-week camp in Egypt to intensify preparations for the Olympic qualifying tournament to be hosted in Morocco.
The Black Meteors will then connect to the host country from their training base in Cairo.
The first batch of the travelling party will arrive on Monday evening with the second batch also expected to arrive later the same day.
Black Stars forwards, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, will join the Black Meteors at a later date.
The duo have also been named in Chris Hughton's squad that is set to play Madagascar in round five of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers on June 18, 2023.
The Black Meteors will take on their Egyptian counterparts in a pre-tournament friendly on June 15 and will play another opponent on June 19 before the team leaves Cairo to Morocco.
