The Black Meteors will leave Accra for Egypt on Monday, June 12 for a pre-tournamnent camping ahead of the 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Ghana U23 male national team has been camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram for the past 16 days preparing for the 2024 Olympic Games qualifying tournament.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko's team broke camp on Thursday for Ghana Premier League players to return to their clubs for the final round of league games.
The home-based players started the camp last month, but Tanko has added some foreign players to the squad, including Sheffield United's German-born goalkeeper, Jordan Amissah.
Last month's group stage draw pitched Ghana in Group A alongside host nation Morocco, Guinea, and Congo.
The tournament is scheduled to start on June 24, 2023, and end on July 8 with the top three teams earning automatic qualification for the 2024 Olympics.
Ghana opens its campaign on June 25 against Congo.
