The Suame Magazine Spare Parts Dealers have suspended their 28th November demonstration deadline following the setting up of a Regional Security Taskforce to look into their grievances.
Executives of the Association say the Ashanti Regional Minister has stepped in to probe their issues with the Nigerian traders.
The Taskforce has a representation from the Spare parts dealers and it is expected to look into accusations of retail trade made against some Nigerians in Kumasi.
The Spare Parts Dealers threatened to stage a demonstration and close the shops of their Nigerian counterparts whom they accuse of violating local laws on retail trade.
The Nigerians requested for dialogue but the Spare parts dealers say some recent utterances from them will not allow that.
