Beautiful Mind and Wellness Inc. Ghana has donated, food and toiletries to the patients of the Ankaful hospital.
The donation is part of the annual activities of the California based NGO.
The NGO has, as part of its mission, the duty to support mental health by raising awareness, reducing stigma through education and promoting mental health wellness and recovery through prevention and early intervention.
The NGO had already made similar donations to patients at the Accra psychiatric hospital and Pantang hospitals in December last year.
In a statement Beautiful Mind and Wellness Inc (BMWI) called on all well meaning Ghanaians and Corporate Ghana to join in the promotion of mental health and wellness awareness to reduce stigma for a better life.
The statement said government cannot do it alone.
"BMWI also urges all to remember the patients and staff at the various mental health hospitals (Accra psychiatric hospital, Pantang and Ankaful Hospitals) and come to their aid in helping create a better recovery and working environment. Let them now it’s Christmas. Thank you," the statement said.
