A 53 year old chief has committed suicide at Abuakwa in the Ashanti region.
The chief is reported to have shot himself in the chest.
Residents and family members are speculating he killed himself because he has been unable to offset a 50 thousand Ghana cedis loan.
Meanwhile, the Abuakwa District Police Crime Officer, ASP Jeremiah Alale tells Joy News the police may not investigate circumstances surrounding his death because there is no foul play.
The chief shot himself in his room, the police said.
