Defense Minister, Mark Woyongo has called on personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces to make Ghana a more peaceful and safe place to woo more investors into the country.
He said Ghana’s development rests on the military’s ability to ensure peace and stability which most businessmen look up for in any country they intend to invest in.
“I want to impress upon our men and women in the Ghana Armed Forces to make peace and stability their priority. We need the stability to woo more investors to develop,” he added.
Speaking to Joy News' Seth Kwame Boateng, the Defense Minister applauded the Armed Forces for teaming up with other security agencies to deal with maritime crime and illegal logging.
Mark Woyongo said there will be more of such collaborations in the coming years to cement the stability in the country.
On their remunerations, he said government is working assiduously to ensure all are paid timely next year.
