Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, National Chief Imam has urged Ghanaians of all faith and backgrounds to thank Almighty Allah for His unlimited blessings on the country.
A statement signed by Alhaji Khuzaima Mohammed Osman, General Secretary of the Islamic Peace and Security Council and copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra re-emphasised Sheikh Sharubutu stance against homosexuality and lesbianism.
He called on Ghanaians to give full support to the initiative embark upon by the Coalition Against Homosexuality in Ghana.
Sheikh Sharubutu encouraged the youth irrespective of their backgrounds to be more proactive and innovative in finding solutions to the country’s common diseases and challenges, poverty and unemployment.
The statement said the National Chief Imam threw his support to the Government in its attempt to create friendly environment for local small and medium enterprises to thrive in the pursuance of advocacy for innovation and harnessing the potentials in the youth in national building and national development.
It said education has been at the forefront campaign aimed at eradicating illiteracy and boosting the morality and education of the Muslim youth in the zongo communities.
The statement thanked the Ghana Students Loan Trust Fund for supporting the education of 283 students of Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu Education Fund in 2013.
