The Public Affairs director of the National Identification, Bertha Dzeble, has expressed worry over the duplicate data base systems in the country.
According to her a single data base system, will help secure information collected.
Speaking on Joy News, News Desk, she said: “If all institutions pick information from a particular source, it saves the country from duplicating efforts”
Bertha Dzeble , added duplicating data base, threatens the security of the country, and there is a need for stakeholders to carefully examine the situation. “Do we as country, have the facility to ensure data collected by different institution is secured? We must do the right thing and ensure that our data base is protected”
She called for cooperation with other institutions and assured the National Identification Authority is in a position to provide other agencies with biometric data base of Ghanaians.
Meanwhile, Bertha Dzeble has called on personnel who were contracted to undertake the registration exercise in the Northern region to exercise restraints in their demand for payment.
According to her; the institution is meeting other stakeholders to ensure they are paid.
