President of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Affail Monney has scored President John Mahama ‘A’ in his interaction with the media at the Flagstaff House in Accra Tuesday.
He said the president was on top of issues and showed a depth of knowledge and mastery in answering questions posed to him by the media.
“This is not propaganda; all of us know where we vote but without using partisan lense I think he [Mamaha] did extremely well so I will give him an A” he added.
Affail Monney was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday.
He said President Mahama’s ability to listen attentively and give appropriate answers “shows a mark of good communicator”.
“As a communicator, it is not enough to be masterful linguistically; you should have good skills when it comes to listening and I think the president did extremely well” he stated.
The GJA President found it intriguing how President Mahama was candid with journalists when he did not have any idea about the subject in question.
Contrary to claims that the president refused to answer certain questions, Affail Monney said “the president did his home work well and did justice to everything.
He also commended the media for asking relevant questions since according to him “the quality of questions matched the quality of answers”.
