President of the Accra College of Medicine has endorsed the Joy Clean Ghana Campaign.
Speaking to JoyNews’ Piesie Nana-Yaw Safo on the sidelines of the Annual Psychiatric Debate 2018 in Accra, Professor Afua Hesse urged Ghanaians to eat well.
“The Joy campaign is showing us that we are taking in a lot of things that are not good for us. We should be more aware of what we eat because ultimately that is what will give us good or poor health,” She said on Friday.
The Joy Clean Ghana Campaign is a partnership between the Joy brand of the Multimedia Group and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).
The purpose of the campaign is to create awareness about the need for a clean Ghana.
Environmental Health Inspectors with the Joy Clean Ghana Campaign team on Tuesday forced traders at the Agbogbloshie Market to desilt and clean filthy gutters close to where foodstuffs were being sold.
The confiscated items included buckets of soaked beef in an unidentified substance and cowhide popularly known as ‘weley’ stored by urinals.
