Nestlé Ghana Limited has been named the “Overall National Best Quality Company” at the 8th AGI Industry and Quality Awards organised recently by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).
The Nutrition Health and Wellness Company also received the “National Quality Award, Diamond Food Category” at the event organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ghana Standards Authority.
Commenting on the Awards, Philomena Tan, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana said, “to receive such prestigious awards two years in a row is indeed an honor and affirmation of our dedication and commitment to quality in our business.”
“As a Nutrition Health and Wellness Company, we contribute to the health and wellbeing of individuals and families by offering quality products. Through innovation, research and strict adherence to quality standards, we will continue to deliver quality in all aspects of our business to help improve the nutritional status of Ghanaians,” she stated.
Nestlé Ghana has been operating in Ghana for over 62 years helping enriching lives of individuals and families with household brands such as Milo, Ideal, Maggi, Cerelac and Nido rich in key micronutrients including Iron, Iodine, Vitamin D and Vitamin C to help address under nutrition.
A firm believer of good nutrition, Nestlé earlier in October 2019, launched a campaign to raise awareness on Iron Deficiency. The company has also partnered with the Ghana Journalists Association to endow a nutrition award to recognise journalists who help educate and raise awareness on the importance of good nutrition in Ghana.
These initiatives by Nestlé, bring to life its Purpose of “enhancing quality of life and contributing to healthier future.”
The AGI Industry & Quality Awards is instituted to reward and honour companies that have achieved outstanding success in various areas of industry, maintaining standards of quality in production and service delivery and innovation in the year under review.
