The Electoral Commission on Thursday, January 30, explained to political party representatives, the need to have the current voter's register replaced.
In a power-point presentation to the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), the EC's technical team also indicated that data in the current register will not be discarded when the new register is compiled.
The meeting, which was at the instance of the Commission’s Eminent Advisory Committee, was also attended by representatives from civil society organisations.
