Members of the Professional Associations within the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) will from March 17, 2020, embark on a strike over government’s refusal to remove the Board Chairman of the Authority.
According to a statement issued by the Association, on February 20, 2020 it announced its displeasure over how Air Cdre. Rexford Acquah (rtd) run the aviation industry and demanded his removal and other demands but the Aviation Minister, Joseph Adda has not heeded to their calls.
The statement warned that the industrial action will affect flight operations within Accra and possibly disrupt Flight Information Region (FIR).
