A 15-year-old girl has been reportedly shot dead at Aboabo bus stop, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
Diana Robert was selling Indomie when she was said to have been shot accidentally, by an unidentified man.
Reports say the culprit was showing off his gun when he mistakenly shot the girl.
"He tried it twice and the third one hit the girl," a resident told JoyNews.
He is reported to have fled from the scene and nobody could trace his whereabouts at the time of filing this report.
The incident which occurred at about 12am Sunday drew a lot of crowd including the police officers who had to patrol the area to maintain calm while they take some evidence and look for the culprit.
The family of the deceased is depressed about the incident and wants a thorough probe into the matter.
"Someone targeted her. Someone contracted the guy to kill her," one of the relatives said.
The body of the girl has been taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue.
