Doctors and nurses in Zimbabwe are refusing to work until they can access protective clothing while on duty because of fears over coronavirus infection.

They say hospitals across the country do not have any protective equipment, leaving medics - and their families - exposed to the virus.

Zimbabwe recorded its first death from Covid-19 on Monday; a third case of the virus was reported last night.

Experts have warned that decades of economic turmoil have left Zimbabwe's health services in a weakened position to combat the virus.
