The Kibi Goldfields Limited (KGL) has donated sanitary items to the Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly to support its campaign against coronavirus in the area.
The items include a number of Veronica Buckets, rubber bowls, pieces of hand washing liquid soaps as well as packs of tissues.
Presenting the items at the forecourt of the Assembly on March 31, 2020, the Public Relations Officer of the KGL, Barima Opoku of KGL, said the company was pleased to support and contribute its quota to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Assembly, the Municipal Chief Executive, Kojo Ofori-Safo, expressed gratitude to the KGL and indicated that the items would help minimise the surge of the coronavirus in the area.
He commended the KGL, particularly, the Managing Director, Kofi Agyemang, for the continuous support towards the Assembly's developmental activities.
Ghana has recorded 214 cases of the coronavirus which has caused the death of five other persons while at least 31 persons are said to have recovered.
