Chief Executive of Kpando Municipality has presented a double-door fridge and deep freezer to two teachers whose apartment got destroyed in a recent fire incident.
According to Ernest Quist, the items were his personal presentation to support the victims, while the assembly works on a bigger package to replace their losses.
”With the assistance of my wife, we procured a deep freezer and double door fridge to present to the two victims. I know Mr Annor’s wife sells drinks so I believe the deep freezer would help her resume her business," Mr Quist said when he presented the items.

He, however, used the opportunity to entreat staff of the college to observe the Presidential restriction on social distancing and gathering, and as well practice good hygiene to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
An economics tutor, Victor Boateng Ephraim and Annor Bright who teaches social studies, lost all their belongings in the inferno.
"We couldn't save anything in our rooms, we were left with only what we wore after we managed to douse the fire. We are grateful to the MCE who was our former colleague for the donation," Mr Annor said.
The victims who have a family of five each are currently living in a temporary three-bedroom bungalow.

The Headmaster of Bishop Herman College, Kudolo Francis Dominic, said the unfortunate incident has worsened the inadequate infrastructure plight of the school.
”We had to give out the senior housemaster’s bungalow to the victims to use in the interim”, he added.
He, therefore, appealed to benevolent institutions and old students to come to the aid of the victims and the school’s management to rehabilitate the burnt structure.
