Sixteen more people have recovered after contracting novel coronavirus, the Ghana Health Service has said.
This takes the number of recoveries from 83 to 99. In the latest Covid-19 update, the country has, however, recorded 198 new cases.
This has sent the number of recorded cases from the previous 641 to 834.

“This is after some 57,000 samples have already been successfully tested as at April 15th 2020. In the first batch of this backlog, an additional 198 have been found to be positive," the Health Service posted on its website Saturday, April 18, 2020.
The country has also recorded another death while four others are in critical condition.
Four major cities of the country, Accra, Kumasi, Kasoa and Tema, are already on a three-week lockdown aimed at holding the spread of the deadly virus.
