Food and beverage distribution company, Gold Coast Matcom Ltd, has donated items worth GHS43,000.00 to the Ghana Police Service to aid its fight against the spread of Covid-19.
The Service, together with other security agencies, was at the forefront of enforcing the three-week lockdown announced by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Following the lifting of the restriction of movement in parts of the country, the service is also ensuring that the ban on social gathering among other safety protocols are adhered to by the general public.
In support of this fight, the company on April 22, 2020 presented 700 litres of Talia oil, 100kg of Nutella, 14,400 Eveready batteries, 192 Eveready flash lights and 200 bottles of Incolac milk drink.

The products were presented by the company’s representatives, Clara Appiagyei and Michael Sorcey.
COP Samuel Monney who took delivery of the items on behalf of the police expressed appreciation for the gesture.

Speaking after the presentation, Mr Sorcey encouraged Ghanaians to support the government’s efforts to rid the country of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gold Coast Matcom Ltd are distributors of brands such as Dimes Fruit Juice, Energizer batteries, Ferrero chocolates, Incolac milk products, Nutella spreads, Pascual yogurts, Talia sunflower among others.
