Financial Secretary of the National Democratic Congress in Virginia, Mouri Jay Lawal, has donated some items to Zongo communities in the South Tongu District of the Volta region.
The items including PPEs and food items were donated with the aim of supporting the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. .
Mr Lawal, a real estate consultant is urging Ghanaians to endeavour to extend a helping hand to the vulnerable and less privileged in society.
He assured beneficiary communities of his commitment to extend helping hands to them always.
South Tongu Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Chairman Ampah encouraged the people to adhere to approved protocols by frequently washing their hands, practice social distancing and wear face masks to protect them and their families.
Volta Region has so recorded 41 Covid-19 positive cases with 28 recoveries
