Nigerian musician Simi and her husband Adekunle Gold have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.
The couple announced the birth of their baby on their Instagram pages on Sunday, 7 June.
Named, Adejare Kosoko, the baby girl was born on May 30.
Simi officially announced her pregnancy on April 19, her birthday, when she released her single Duduke, dedicated to her baby. She was seen cradling her baby bump throughout the video.
“I cannot wait to see you, you are the treasure I have been waiting for…I am waiting for the day I finally get to kiss you,” she said in the song.
Simi took to Instagram to share a photo of Adekunle holding the hands of their daughter with the caption, “Adejare Kosoko. It's like free-falling - this unending, soul snatching, infinite, mind-boggling love. Deja, my baby girl, I got you. We got you. I promise. Now and forever. So help me God. ❤️ 5.30.2020.”
Adekunle also sought the help of Gos to see through his promise of being there for his little gilr “now and forever.”
