The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani says disinfecting of the Sunyani Military Barracks will boost the morale of personnel to continue to support government's fight against Covid-19.
Justina Owusu-Banahene said soldiers are frontline workers in the war against the pandemic hence it is crucial that their homes and offices are safeguarded against coronavirus.

This, she said, will not only protect them from getting infected, but will also encourage them to enforce the Covid-19 preventive protocols spelt out by the President.

"Looking at the role championed by the Army in ensuring the safety of the populace, it is expedient that as one frontline workers--the military--have their homes safe from the virus," she said.

The MCE further stated that Covid-19 has come to stay so there is the need for a collective approach to reduce its negative impact.
On her part, the Regional Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited (ZGL), Esther Abayeta Asadoo, said the exercise will be replicated in all military facilities and installations in the region to ensure the safety of military personnel.

Commanding Officer of the 3BN at the Sunyani Military Barracks, Lt. Col. John Yaw Kwarteng was excited about the exercise and assured of the military's commitment towards the Covid-19 fight.
