The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 147 new Covid-19 cases, increasing the country’s overall case count to 14,154.
In its latest update, the Service put the active cases at 3,596 with no new recoveries or deaths.
Six of the patients are in critical condition, four are on ventilators and 24 have been classified as severe.
Greater Accra still leads the charts with 8,075 cases while Ashanti follows with 2,812.
Western region – Ghana’s new epicentre – has 1,148 cases, Central follows with 794; Eastern 373, Volta 314, Upper East 271, Oti 105 and Western North 82.
Northern region has 61 recorded cases, Savannah 37, Bono East 33, Upper West 35, Ahafo eight, Bono three and North East three.
