After close to two decades of splitting, the once vibrant music trio Nakorex came together in grand style to thrill fans at the just ended 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Consisting of Amandzeba Nat Brew, Rex Omar and Akosua Agyepong, the group served audience with a massive performance on the night.
Performing songs like 'Odo bema mi so nko', 'Kpanlogo', 'Kotosa' left audience with obviously no choice but to jump on their feet and dance their hearts out.
It may be the dance moves of the evergreen Akosua Agyepong, the silky voice of Rex Omar or the grand entry of Nat Brew but all the same, there was magic in the air as the group thrilled fans with their amazing performance.
Their performance together on the night came across as a surprise since not much has been heard of the trio after they split to pursue solo careers in the late 90s.
The band was formed in 1992 by the musicians Nat Brew, Rex Omar and Akosua Agyepong they took the group's name from the first few letters of each member's name.
Brew and Agyapong were later married.
Their musical style combined high-tech and standard instruments, with an emphasis on live performances.
The biggest song of the collective was 'Kpanlogo Yede', which is regarded as a classic Ghanaian song utilising the 'Kpanlogo' drums and rhythms popular in Kpanlogo.
