Ace Medical Insurance, a private health insurance company, on Tuesday 8th September 2020, donated some items to the 37 Military Hospital.
The donation was aimed at helping to alleviate the strain on the hospital’s resources, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Items donated to the hospital include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), disposable nose masks, paper towels, hand sanitizers, and liquid detergents.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ace Medical Insurance, Mr. Solomon Awuku, in presenting the items to the hospital indicated that, although the number of active COVID-19 cases are on a decline, there is a pressing need for vigilance and greater care to be taken at this time.
He noted that this is because a decreasing number of active cases comes with the tendency to be complacent.
Ace Medical Insurance hopes the donation provides needed support to frontline workers, as well as reignite the drive to strictly adhere to all protocols in the fight against the pandemic.
Commanding Officer of 37 Military Hospital, Brigadier General Nii Adjah Obodai, assisted by Lt. Col. Ken Dogboe and SWO Sam De-graft, received the items on behalf of the Hospital.
He expressed gratitude for the kind gesture and urged other corporate entities to emulate the generous act.
Ace Medical Insurance is a Private Commercial Health Insurance Scheme that is founded on a radically simple idea that everyone deserves a chance to live a healthy life.
