Wesley Girls' High has secured a spot in the quarter-final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) that took place on Monday at the Business School in the University of Ghana.
The third contest featured Wesley Girls' High, Tema Methodist SHS and Sonrise SHS.
Wesley Girls' High was represented by Gabriella Nonjo and Benedicta Dontoh who led the all-girls-school to victory at the end of the contest.
Bernard Marfo and James Kofi Addo represented Tema Methodist SHS whiles Sonrise SHS was represented by Prince Kwaku Edem and Immanuel Yeboah.

At the beginning of the contest, Wesley Girls' High scored 17 points while Tema Methodist SHS and Sonrise SHS scored 4 and 10 points respectively.
In round two, Tema Methodist SHS and Sonrise SHS who secured 5 and 15 points respectively could not catch to 28 points secured by Wesley Girls' School.
The third round in which contestants are supposed to solve the "Problem of the day," saw Tema Methodist SHS scoring zero. Sonsrise SHS secured a point while Wesley Girls' School scored 5 points.
The Cape Coast-based school sent signals they are title contenders this year as they ended the fourth round with 46 points. They were followed by Sonrise SHS and Tema Methodist SHS with 18 points in the fourth round.
At the end of the contest, Wesley Girl's High won the contest with 46 points as they did not answer any correct question to add to their points.
Tema Methodist and Sonrise SHS could not catch up as they secured 18 and 25 points respectively.
