One-time champion Adisadel College has eliminated Bishop Herman College and Tarkwa SHS to secure a place in the quarter-final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
Justice Apaw and Henneh Ivan Yaw gave a good account of themselves with an outstanding performance to record the second-highest score of the 1/8th stage.
The black and white boys secured a slot in the quarter-finals of the competition with 50 points. While Biheco got 34 points and Tarkwa SHS scored 25 points.

Taking off with a good start, Adisco led the race with 18 points in Round One.
With 12 points on the score table, both Bishop Herman College and Tarkwa SHS secured the second place.
Derrick Commodore and Wisdom Ampabo for Bishop Herman College scored the same points - 12 points - as Prince Arhin and Isaac Yankholmes of Tarkwa SHS.

However, in Round Two, Tarkwa SHS just could not handle the intensity of the Speed Race and were unable to secure a point leaving them with 12 points.

Adisadel College still steering the outcome of the contest once more led the round with 28 points. In hope for a win at the end of the contest, the Kpando-based school; Bishop Herman College tried to close the gap and followed with 21 points.

With 5 points earned, the 'Zebra boys' of Adisadel College were cruising in Round Three of the contest.
In solving the 'Problem of the Day' Tarkwa SHS and Bishop Herman College both earned three points as they were unable to complete their submissions.

The two schools were of no match for Adisadel College who took a comfortable lead in Round Four with 47 points.
Bishop Herman College put in a lot of efforts to score 31 points and at the bottom of the pack was Tarkwa SHS with 21 points.

In a comfortable lead, Adisadel College sang the victor’s song as they secured 50 points at the end of the contest.
