Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin has said it would come as a shock to him if Ghanaians do not vote for President Akufo-Addo in the upcoming general elections.

He said all eligible voters who have benefited from the numerous social intervention programs and other infrastructural developments under the Akufo-Addo administration must honour the president with a second term.

Addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of the 3 Akyem States of Abuakwa, Bosome and Kotoku, Okyenhene said the president has distinguished himself and deserves a second term.

He recited the lyrics of 'Ofee Tso', a rap song by Ghanaian musician, Sarkodie, to make his point.

“Dem say you nor go fit do am but you do am wey dem shock,” Osagyefuo said.

According to Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, Akufo-Addo’s great achievements during his first term will secure his victory in the upcoming elections.

“Your One District One Factory, One Village One Dam, Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, the NABCO initiative, your numerous infrastructural projects like roads have all yielded good fruits; and like Jesus said a tree that yields good fruits must be made to grow,” Osagyefuo said.

“Just like the singer, Lucky Mensah, said in his songs, Nana Akufo-Addo has exceeded all expectations as President and must be given the nod to continue for a second term.”

The Okyenhene noted that the people of Akyem have also seen the development projects under Akufo-Addo as was echoed by Asantehene earlier this week.

Okyehene is the second-high profile traditional ruler to have made statements that endorse the second term bid of President Akufo-Addo in the upcoming December 7 polls.

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Monday assured the President that his record in office “will speak for him” in this year's election.

“Your good works in office will speak for you. We in Asanteman remember.  Asanteman will remember your good works on Election Day,” Asantehene

Kyebi came to a standstill on Friday when the three Akyem States held the durbar to honour president Akufo-Addo and welcome him home.

President Akufo-Addo on his part hinted that his commitment and loyalty to Ghana came from his father and grandfather who were keen in the struggle for Ghana's developmental advancement.

He assured Ghanaians of his resolve to remain truthful and pursue the course of development.

Akufo-Addo pleaded with Ghanaians to give him "4 more years to do more".
