The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu will on Thursday lead a policy dialogue organized by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
John Boadu is expected to lead a team to present and discuss the party’s Manifesto in the conference hall of the (IEA) in Accra.
The Conversation is scheduled from 9 am – 11 am at the IEA Dialogue Centre and is the first in a series of policy dialogues with political parties planned by the IEA ahead of the December elections.
Thursday’s dialogue will serve as a platform for the NPP to present key aspects of their manifesto and to engage with participants in a question and answer session.
Participants will represent a cross-section of the Ghanaian electorate, including academia, the clergy, traditional rulers, worker representatives, business representatives, civil society organisations, and the media.
The IEA policy dialogues aim at promoting issue-based political campaigning devoid of rancour and personal attacks, while also ensuring that the electorate is sufficiently informed to make the best choice at the elections.
The IEA is Ghana’s premier Public Policy Institute set up in 1989 with a view to broadening the debate on public policy, engendering private sector-led economic growth, and strengthening the pillars of democracy.
In line with its beliefs, the IEA has been organising Presidential Debates since the year 2000.
